Pixel Art là Nghệ thuật điểm ảnh. Đây là nghĩa tiếng Việt của thuật ngữ Pixel Art – một thuật ngữ thuộc nhóm Technology Terms – Công nghệ thông tin.

Nghệ thuật Pixel là một hình thức nghệ thuật kỹ thuật số trong đó hình ảnh được tạo ra và chỉnh sửa ở mức pixel sử dụng một đồ họa chỉnh sửa phần mềm. Những yếu tố làm ảnh nghệ thuật là phong cách hình ảnh độc đáo của nó, nơi pixel cá nhân đóng vai trò như các khối xây dựng tạo nên hình ảnh. Hiệu quả là một phong cách hình ảnh rất giống với nghệ thuật khảm, cross-stitch và các loại kỹ thuật thêu.

Giải thích ý nghĩa

Nghệ thuật Pixel đã tồn tại kể từ khi phần mềm chỉnh sửa hình ảnh đầu tiên và 2D trò chơi đầu tiên với đồ họa được đưa ra, nhưng thuật ngữ này lần đầu tiên được xuất bản bởi Robert Flegal và Adele Goldberg của Xerox PARC cách trở lại trong năm 1982, mặc dù khái niệm tồn tại 10 năm trước như trong hệ thống SuperPaint tạo ra bởi Richard Shoup trở lại vào năm 1972, cũng tại Xerox PARC.

Pixel art is a form of digital art wherein images are created and edited at the pixel level using a graphics editing software. What defines pixel art is its unique visual style, where individual pixels serve as the building blocks that make up the image. The effect is a visual style very similar to that of mosaic art, cross-stitch and other types of embroidery techniques.

Understanding the Pixel Art

Pixel art has existed ever since the first image editing software and the first 2D games with graphics came out, but the term was first published by Robert Flegal and Adele Goldberg of Xerox PARC way back in 1982, although the concept existed 10 years prior such as in the SuperPaint system created by Richard Shoup back in 1972, also at Xerox PARC.
